The inaugural Pi Alpha Zeta Scholarship was awarded in the spring of two-thousand and one to a student attending Jefferson High School. The scholarship name was changed to the Oregon Dove Scholarship in two-thousand seven in honor of the Sorority’s symbol of the dove and the location of the chapter. The Pi Alpha Zeta Chapter reviews scholarship applications and awards the scholarship to students based on the quality of the application, student need, and community involvement. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage higher education among local high school students by supporting the efforts to attend a four-year college or university.
